Chettinad Chicken Varuval or Chicken Masala Fry is a dry and spicy hot chicken recipe with mouth watering aromas. As the name Chettinad suggests chettinad spices only are used in the recipe i.e. no need of using regular garam masalas. Chettinad Masala Spice Powder itself is enough to give the spicy taste. It will be fierry hot and adds a unique flavour to the recipe. Chettinad Masala Powder includes, dry red chillies in good amount, pepper corns, garlic, coriander, cumin and fennel seeds. Dry Red Chillies and pepper corns give spicy flavour, remaining ingredients such as garlic, coriander, cumin and fennel seeds give nice aroma, mild spice and yummy taste. The nice aromas of the recipe will drag you towards it.

How to make Almond Chicken Gravy Recipe - Chicken Badami Korma Recipe


Almond Chicken Gravy recipe  or Chicken Badami Korma recipe or Murgh Badami Khorma is a Mughalai recipe popular in muslim countries. It is a delectable chicken recipe where chicken pieces are cooked with almond paste and whole spices. This rich almond and yoghurt based chicken gravy is served hot mostly with naan as a special party treat. It tastes great with breads like chapathis, parathas and with rice varieties as well. It is also referred to as curried chicken in almond sauce.

Badami Murgh Khorma and Badami Murgh Pasanda are both different recipes. Don't get confused by the names. Khas khas and coconut powder are present extra in Badami Murgh Khorma whereas these 2 ingredients are not added in Badami Murgh Pasanda. If you replace red chilli powder with green chillies and skip turmeric powder in the process then this curry will appear white in colour.

Thotakura in english is known as Amaranth leaves and thotakura in hindi is also known as chaulai or tambdi or rajgira or Mulai Keerai in tamil. Also in some places of Telangana, Amaranth with smaller sized leaves is referred to as Kalegura and bigger sized leaves is referred to as Thotakura.

Also sesame is rich in calcium and iron. Iron increases heamoglobin in our blood, helps in hair growth, produces heat in the body. Since they produce heat these 2 foods are not advised to eat during pregnancy as lot of heat inside the body may lead to miscarriages. But for non pregnant woman both these foods are good for health.
